Noticed transmission fluid leak from cooler. Brought to Tutle-Click Dodge in Irvine and left overnight.5/26/2000
Got word that the line had been
re-attached, tested, and the leak was fixed. We picked up the truck, and that evening it began leaking from same place again.
5/27/2000
Brought it to Barwick Dodge in San Juan Capisrano at 7AM for service. Dealer
replaced the o-rings at the leaking joint, but it continued to leak after 20 minutes of testing. They didn't have the parts to replace the entire transmission cooling line, so they would have to be ordered. We were away
from home, and the dealer indicated the truck was safe to drive, as the leak wasn't severe.

Truck stalled at an intersection and the "Check Engine" light came on. With some difficulty, I got it
started again, and continued to drive to our destination, only about 3 more miles. When we returned to the truck, it would not start and run correctly. When it did start, the engine would die after 10 seconds or so. We
called roadside assistance and towed it to Huntington Beach Dodge to leave overnight, since it was Memorial Day.
5/30/2000
Huntington Beach Dodge told us the problem was a fan that had shorted out, near the air
conditioning condenser. This had also damaged a wiring harness nearby. To repair this, they needed to order parts. Once again, we didn't have time to stay and wait for the parts, since we were on a trip. They told us
the vehicle would function correctly, as long as we didn't use the air conditioning.
We continued our drive home, making a stop in Morgan Hill, CA. When we returned to the truck, it would not start. We called roadside
assistance again, but after about 30 minutes of trying, the truck started. We cancelled the tow and drove home.

Brought truck to Redwood City Dodge. These are the problems we reported:
1) Transmission fluid leak from cooler
2) Check Engine light is on
3) Squeaking noise heard from dash area when driven
4) Air conditioning is not getting cold enough
5) Clicking noise coming from left rear suspension

Ross from RC Dodge called and told me the check engine light problem was a failure in the "A-B Module", and it will be replaced tomorrow. He also said the
transmission fluid leak is now fixed. He also mentioned the truck would not start.
6/2/2000
Ross from RC Dodge called at 6 PM, and told me the part didn't come today. He said it would be Monday.
6/6/2000
Ross
called to say the part was on "national backorder" and it would be another week at least.
6/7/2000
We asked for a loaner vehicle – Ross will work on this request
6/8/2000
Ross called and said the part had come
in, and the truck should be fixed today or tomorrow.
6/9/2000
Ross called to say the truck was done. Picked it up around 1:30 and took it home. When I got it home, the transmission cooler was still leaking. Also
noticed several deep scratches and a dent in the rear bumper and trailer hitch. Took it back to RC Dodge to point out the damage, and Ross said he'd have it 'taken care of'.
6/13/2000
Took it to RC Dodge to get the
bumper fixed and the transmission fluid leak fixed. Ross called at 5:00 and told me they ordered the transmission fluid cooler lines, and they would be here tomorrow. He also said he was waiting for someone to repair
the rear bumper. He had me leave it there overnight.
6/14/2000
Called Ross at 5:00, but no call back by 6:00. I assume it's not done yet.
6/15/2000
Ross called and said it was ready at 10:00, but then called
back and said the bumper was not fixed correctly. Will also called near the same time, telling me my parts had come in (they should already be installed, since Ross said it was done, but Will didn't know if they were or
not). Ross called again around 4:00 to tell me it was done, but there were still a couple scratches in the bumper.
6/16/2000
Picked up the truck. Transmission fluid lines were replaced. Bumper is still
scratched and dented. Ross told us we could bring it back in and the body shop would do more. We'll bring it in next week on Tuesday, 6/20.
A week later, we contacted the owner of RC Dodge, and the body
damage was completely fixed.

Noticed a creeking sound from the front suspension when turning and going over bumps. Brought it in to RC Dodge. They lubed up everything and the problem
seems to have gone away. They also replaced the front axle bracket bolts, for a recall.
